    Love Potion #9


    Due to an overwhelming response for the potion Mambo made on 09/09/09 we are currently not accepting any more orders for it. If there is potion left over after all orders are filled, we will offer it for sale again. Thank you!

    While we normally do not make and sell this potion, because of an overwhelming request, we will make the potion here at the Spellmaker office to offer for sale. We don't usually do it, but in light of the special power of this day this year, we will do it this year. Please see ordering details below.

    • 9 oz. sweet red wine (if a person can't drink alcohol, substitute cherry soda or something similar)
    • 9 basil leaves
    • 9 red rose petals
    • 9 cloves
    • 9 apple seeds
    • 9 drops vanilla extract
    • 9 drops strawberry juice
    • 9 drops apple juice
    • 1 ginseng root, cut into 9 approximately equal pieces (if you cannot get fresh ginseng root - which is available at a lot of Oriental markets - open up three ginseng capsules and use the powder to add to the potion)

    By the light of 9 pink votive candles, put these nine ingredients into a cauldron (or any metal pot - a cauldron is basically a POT) on the ninth hour of the ninth day of the ninth month of the year. (The "ninth" hour of the day is 9:00 a.m. NOT 9:00 p.m.) Stir the potion nine times with a wooden spoon, each time reciting the following magickal incantation:

    LET THE ONE WHO DRINKS THIS WINE
    SHOWER ME WITH LOVE DIVINE.
    SWEET LOVE POTION NUMBER NINE
    MAKE HIS/HER LOVE FOREVER MINE.

    Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat and let it simmer for nine minutes. Remove the cauldron from the heat and allow the potion to cool off. Blow nine times upon the potion, bless it by saying the names out loud of the nine love goddesses, (see below) and then strain it through a cheesecloth into a clean container. Cover and refrigerate it until you are ready to serve it to the man or woman from whom you desire love and affection. (Do not allow anyone other than your beloved to look at,touch, or drink the love potion.) This potion can be mixed with another wine or put into food or drink.

    A word of warning: This potion is extremely potent and should be used with caution. Its results have been reported to be very intense, long-lasting, and often difficult to control or reverse. So please be absolutely sure before you give it to an intended lover that he or she is the right one for you and vice versa.

    The nine goddesses: Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Hathor, Nephthys, Aphrodite, Venus, Freya, Arianrhod.

    Information concerning purchasing our special batch of 09/09/09 Love Potion #9: (Please read carefully so that you understand what you are getting!)

  • Mambo Sam will make a big batch of this potion on 09/09/09. Normally, we do not make and/or sell this potion - we recommend that everyone make their own.
  • However, since we won't get another chance in our life time to do this again on this amazing date, we have decided to make a batch this year and offer it to those who want it.
  • Please be aware that normally we would never sell anything that is edible or meant to be taken internally in any way, this will be an exception to that rule! Because we are not licensed to sell anything that anyone would eat or drink, by your purchase of this item you are accepting that this was made in a home kitchen, under extremely clean and as sterile as possible, circumstances.
  • To further insure the viability and storage of the potion, Mambo Sam will can the potion with a pressure canner. This will preserve it for maximum freshness and the potion will more than likely last much longer than one year. Your potion will come in a heat sealed, 8 ounce glass jar. Until you break the seal, the potion will keep for quite some time!
  • You will have the option to have her consecrate your particular bottle of potion just in your name (so you decide later upon whom you want to use it) OR in the name of you and someone specific OR have it consecrated for someone else entirely (for instance, if you wanted to give it to someone as a gift).
  • Since these will be pressure sealed, you will have the option to buy more than one jar in order to keep it longer safely.
