Afraid to Love Completely?

Very often my clients tell me that they are “afraid to love” completely. Of course, we all fear being hurt. Many of us will hold back and not give ourselves fully into loving someone at first. We want to wait. We want to see if our feelings are returned. Putting it out there fully and completely is quite scary.

However, if you are doing love spell work and yet you are afraid to give your heart completely, then you may be running a very real risk of sabotaging your own spell work.

Think about this: If you are approaching the relationship you are trying to get or fix with fear, holding some of your feelings back, and being afraid that you might get hurt, then what kind of energy are you putting into your spell work? What you put into your spell work is most often what you get out of it. If you are putting fear and holding back your love because you might get hurt, then that is likely what you will get back.

Perfect love spell work must be done in perfect love. Spell work does not have to be perfect to work for you. We all make mistakes, and there is a certain level of “accident forgiveness” built into our spell work. However, it is important to think about how you are feeling toward the relationship you are trying to be in. Are you angry? Are you afraid? Are you afraid to truly love that person because you may never get them?

There are those among us who feel it is not worth it to fully love someone. It is too risky. We might get hurt. We might get dumped. We might not get that love returned to us. However, if you are not willing to take the risk, then you can never reap the wonderful, incredible, dizzying rewards of truly being in love. The old saying that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all is so true.

There is no more powerful emotion than love. If you are not willing to allow yourself to experience it, even if it seems one-sided right now, then you are doing yourself and your spell work a terrible disservice.

If you feel that perhaps you have been this person, do something about it. There is no point in getting upset if this has been you. Instead, make yourself the promise to no longer be that person. If you have been deeply afraid, angry, or half-hearted in allowing yourself to love the person you want to be with, consider something such as Erzulie Freda's Love Bath or pink gender candles. Why Use a Love Spell?

So many people have asked me over the years, why even use a Voodoo love spell, or any love spell for that matter? To me, it is a matter of practicality. Why not use something that can be helpful spiritually, physically, and mentally? If you are using a well-crafted love spell, have taken your time to learn what is ethical and what is not, and are approaching the project with a good and honest heart, then love spells may be right for you.

How do you tell whether the love spells you are going to do are the right thing? These principles help keep love spell work ethical and reasonable:

• Approach your love spell with an honest heart. You want this person to love you, but you must also be offering your complete love in return. You must never approach your love spell only from a point of ego. You have to keep the love in love spell.
• Your love spell must be cast with the other person's best interest at heart, not just yours. It cannot be all about you and what you want. Is being with you better for the person than not being with you? If you truly believe that it is, you are in the right frame of mind for love spell casting.
• Understand that you might not get exactly what you are asking for. Sometimes spell work does not unfold in the way we hope. There are many reasons for this, some of which are outlined on our Frequently Asked Questions page. Sometimes the result is simply not right for you or for them. Other times, spells work in completely unexpected but wonderful ways.
• If you are not casting your own spells, make sure you feel comfortable with the person casting for you. They should offer complete information and a clear, accessible point of contact. If your intuition tells you the person is not right for you, listen to it.
• The same is true of love spell products. Make sure you are receiving carefully crafted products from the practitioners who sell them or under their direct supervision.

Missing Someone?

What about simply saying, “I miss you”? I was looking over correspondence from an old friend, and throughout it she kept saying, “I miss you.” It made me think: does anyone ever say that when petitioning in a love spell for someone to return? Just plain old, “I miss you.”

When I reread those old letters, I felt a little pang in my heart as my friend repeated that she missed me. I missed her, too. Even though I already realized it, her saying it made me realize it even more.

The Progress of Love Spell Work

What happens when the spells are completed? This is something clients ask about often.

When you complete a trio of love spells, this is often when things begin to happen. Every case is different, even when situations appear similar on the surface, and every Heart's Desire processes the spell work differently.

The best thing you can do is stay positive and focused on your ultimate goal, rather than concentrating only upon what things look like at this moment. The power of positive expectations and thoughts can be remarkable, and adding spell work gives you another spiritual tool.
