![]() ...and ghost stories! At last!!! A real Louisiana family Cajun cookbook! My cookbook is filled with authentic Louisiana family recipes that were handed down to me from my Daddy. I grew up and lived in Louisiana most of my life! I cooked good Cajun food with my Daddy from the time I was 7 years old until his death several years ago. Until I wrote this book, most of these great Cajun and Creole recipes had never been written down within my family...they were learned simply by "doing the dish." You won't find any "pop" Louisiana cuisine in here...just the good Louisiana-style cookin' that has made Louisiana famous for its food. Not only is this cookbook a tribute to my Dad, it is a tribute to a culture like no other! This Cajun cookbook is meant to be used, not just sit on the shelf in a cookbook collection. It is a cooking person's cookbook! It has a top coil bind and one recipe to a page (well, 97% of them, anyway!) to make it easy to use in the kitchen. You can worry about the gastronomical delight you are creating, instead of worrying about how to keep the cookbook open! And, yes, I have included a few of my favorite ghost stories in the cookbook as well! In Louisiana we call that lagniappe: "...a little something extra!"
